A wedding favor is a token, which is given by new married couple to their relatives, friends or guests in their auspicious wedding reception or ceremony. These wedding favors are given as a gift of appreciation only for sharing a very different day with couples. It is a keepsake for the guests. In the ancient time these mementos were sharing of look luck from new married pair to the guests.
Memento comes in various shapes, sizes and forms. Some gave magnets, bottle openers, figurines etc. It was depend on married couple, if they wanted they could give simple and sober gift like candle or decorated gold small box.
This practice is using from very ancient time; this is not a new practice. Many couples give cheap wedding favors. The couple gives nuts, biscuits, or fruits. Before marriage ceremony started these gifts are given to the guests so that they can eat it when the ceremony is going on.
Mainly rich and wealthy family in the Weston country started this tradition. You can purchase cheap wedding invitations. The couple gives incense of silk scarves the gusts. These boxes are not simple boxes; boxes are made of crystal and porcelain or decorated with beautiful precious stones.
In those days cubes of sugar were very expensive it symbolized royalty and wealth. Wedding was regarded as a lucky occasion. When couple gives gifts to their guests, it is considered that good luck is given to the guests. Wedding favors are not reserved only for marriage.
