I was pleading my mom to have my friends come over our house for a homecoming party. My mom agreed, on the condition that the house must look at least satisfactory before the date. Mom was really upset when she overhauled the house one afternoon in preparation it.  She’s found cracks at the corner, molds in the kitchen, broken wallpapers, and not to mention the clutter. She told us we can’t have any party in our place yet, it would be too embarrassing for the visitors to see those unwanted fractures in our home, especially the kitchen. I felt bad that I wasn’t able to hold the party in my house, but I sighed in relief that they wouldn’t have to see how cramped and cluttered our home is. It’s a good thing my mom had to inspect every nook and cranny in our home; being the clean freak that she is.
