Computer Store Donates Pseries Servers
Our best friend’s son was opening up a youth group center. He sent his parents a list of things that he needed to collect to put in the center. He was hoping to get most of it donated so that he did not have to put a lot of start up cash into it. He wanted to open it, by the end of the summer.
He needed furniture like desks and chairs and computer equipment too. We knew that we had four used ibm computers in the basement that we had put there after our kids moved out. We called and told him that we would donate them to the center and he thanked us for helping. He also told us that a local computer company was going to be donating pseries servers for the center and installing them, so they could check out the used ibm computers at the same time.
Our friends kept us on top of how the youth center was coming along. The day that the computer company was installing the pseries servers, our friends called to tell us that after they installed the servers, they had checked out the used ibm computers and found them to be in good working order.
The center was able to open, the week after school started. It was nice to know that we contributed to it and all that is going to do for the kids.
